Family operator acquired by Martins Stock Haulage

Martins Stock Haulage has acquired a Queensland based family livestock transport business, with all staff set to be retained

Australian livestock carrier Martins Stock Haulage has revealed its latest acquisition of a Queensland-based transport business.

Earlier in April, Martins Stock Haulage acquired Quilpie-based, family-owned livestock transport business Camrandale Transport.

Senior management of Martins Stock Haulage confirmed the acquisition in a statement to Beef Central, saying it has long admired the professionalism and reputation of Camrandale.

The 21-year-old family business is run by the well-known Welk family, with founder Tim Welk being honoured by the Australian Livestock and Rural Transporters Association in February.

In the statement, Martins Stock Haulage confirmed all Camrandale Transport staff are set to be retained throughout the acquisition process.

“This is a company that has earned the trust of its customers through consistent, high-quality service,” the statement says.

“What Tim and Theresa have built is truly impressive, and we see this as a continuation of their outstanding work, and we’re committed to maintaining the high level of service that their customers have grown accustomed to.”
