Expressions of interest open for Tasmanian strategic logistics site

The significant space is primed for a logistics company to redevelop

Daily Cargo News (DCN) says a significant strategic logistics site in Tasmania is now for sale, with expressions of interest now open.

The expression of interest period is open until Thursday March 9 for the site on 69A – 71 Lampton Avenue.

The site provides a unique opportunity within the Derwent Park light industrial precinct, which is around five kilometres north of Hobart’s CBD centre via the Brooker Highway.

The highway forms part of Hobart’s road network, while Lampton Avenue is a main road providing access to the industrial region.

DCN says the site is ideal for redevelopment in the distribution and logistics sector and can be used for showrooms, warehouses, distribution, offices, residences or production.

The site is approximately 7,433 sqm on two separate titles.

A large existing warehouse structure is currently on the site alongside a converted house that is currently being used as an office.

DCN says the property is tenanted with a short term lease expiring June 30 this year and is a significant redevelopment opportunity.
