A major expansion has been occurring at Moore Trailers – a 33-year-old proud family-owned and operated Australian company.

Situated in Pittsworth, near Toowoomba, Moore Trailers is a name that is synonymous with reliability and injects a lot into the Australian economy.

The company employs 90 people and sells its trailers Australia-wide.

A new 15,000-square-metre factory next to its current premises has been built by the company. Construction began in early 2017 and is now in the final stages of completion.

The new state-of-the-art facility will house all of Moore’s current production facilities under one roof – streamlining all of its production processes.

“We are always looking at improving productivity and this will nearly double our production and give us the opportunity to broaden our product range,” company spokesman Shayne Moore says.

Moore explains that Moore Trailers’ range of tippers is still popular more than three decades after the company commenced operation in 1988.

“We build anywhere from 100 to 200 of our tippers a year for clients in every corner of the country,” he says.

“Being a very seasonally-demanded product, we have, in some years, had to turn a lot of potential customers away due to a lack of production capacity. Now, once our new facility is operational, we should be well equipped to meet this demand.”

A wide range of Moore’s trailers will be on display at the 2021 Brisbane Truck Show, including bulk tippers, dropdeck-wideners and converter dollies.

The company has one of the broadest range of products of all Australian manufacturers – providing diversity for a broad market, it states.

More and more progressive farmers are value adding to their products by delivering their valuable grain in Moore Trailers, it adds.

With increases to on-farm storage, customers have the ability to sell and deliver products all year round, achieving optimal gains for their seasonal efforts.

In addition, increasing numbers of scrap metal recycling businesses are also turning to heavy-duty Moore scrap trailers for their volume, strength and longevity – all crucial aspects for this industry, Moore states.

Moore says that there are numerous reasons why Moore Trailers are so popular and highly sought-after. Moore Trailers has decades of experience in the road transport industry to drive development and guide research. The company believes in maintaining strong communication with the end user of its products to streamline product development cycles.

It also has a close-knit Aussie family dynamic that is absolutely focused on the needs of the transport industry.
