ComVec to lift the lid on new truck technologies

The Commercial Vehicle Industry Association of Queensland’s (CVIAQ) two-day engineering and technical conference, ComVec 2014, will for the first time feature a new truck model stream structured for body builders, equipment installers and other organisations involved in the final fit-out processes.

To be held May 27-28 at the Royal International Convention Centre, Brisbane Showgrounds, the conference – of which ATN is exclusive Media Partner – is designed to provide critical information on future technology, innovation, government policy and vehicle standards and regulations.

ComVec brings together an assembly of professionals from industry leaders and innovators, government, consultants and business experts who will conduct sessions on challenges facing the industry, what’s here and what’s coming, latest trends, technology and potential solutions.

The all-new new truck model stream will cover the latest in engineering and new model changes, with presentations by engineers from key truck manufacturers.

The 2014 program is packed with specialist industry themes, leading industry speakers and panel sessions that invite delegates to contribute to the exchange of ideas and debate the topics of relevance within the industry.

In addition to a panel session on vehicle width – 2.5m Vs 2.55m Vs 2.6m, presentations will cover: electronics in modern trucks; steerable axle performance; electric heavy vehicles; crash investigation; and aerodynamic truck and trailer designs.

ComVec will also provide unique opportunities for heavy vehicle professionals to interact and collaborate at the evening’s cocktail function.
