Cat gives ITTES the flick; commits to Perth Truck Show

Cat pulls out of 2014 International Truck Trailer and Equipment Show, but commits to truck shows in Perth and Brisbane

July 12, 2013

Cat Trucks has announced it will be pulling out of the International Truck Trailer and Equipment Show (ITTES) to be staged in Melbourne next year.

The move comes in the wake of an extremely successful CVIAQ Brisbane Truck Show this year – an event that saw CAT take home the Outstanding Manufacturers Display Award as well as the People’s Choice Award.

“The Brisbane Truck Show sets the pace for the industry, and we were extremely pleased to be part of an event that broke previous records and where we were able to unveil our full 2013 product range,” Cat Trucks Managing Director Bill Fulton says.

“We will be back in Brisbane in 2015 and we will be excited to showcase an interactive display that will feature new additions to the Cat truck model line-up.”

However, Cat will showcase its current line-up at the Perth Truck Show this month. The company claims the Cat brand has a long and loyal following from customers in Western Australia.

Cat says committing to the 2014 ITTES would see the company attend three major trade shows in a nine month period.

In the interim, CAT is gearing up for the launch of the company’s locally developed short bumper-to-back-of-cab 34 pallet B-double hauler, the CT630S, which is slated for launch in early 2014.
