Cat Trucks will use the 2013 Brisbane Truck Show to unveil the full range of the company’s line-up for the first time in Australia.

Cat announced today it would display its new 2013 products, including the Cat CT610, Cat CT630 and the all-new Cat CT630LS.

The Brisbane Truck Show runs from May 16 to 19 at the Convention and Exhibition Centre. The 2011 event acted a launching pad for Cat Trucks into the Australian marketplace.

“Two short years later, with more than 500 Cat trucks on the road, our product is developing a strong reputation for delivering customer value and this year’s Brisbane Truck Show gives us the opportunity to thank our customers for their support and to showcase for them and new customers our new models and expanded product range,” Cat Managing Director for Australia and New Zealand Bill Fulton says.

He says the Cat stand at the show will run product displays and seminars on the fuel economy, aerodynamics, weight and other features of the brand’s vehicles.

“We will be showcasing the highly anticipated and extremely fuel-efficient new CT610 with the CT13 engine with both manual and Ultrashift transmissions,” Fulton says.

“The CT630 and CT630LS both feature the ever-reliable, customer-preferred ADR80-03 CatC15 engine, which requires no EGR [exhaust gas recirculation] or SCR [selective catalytic reduction].”

Fulton says Cat is looking forward to showcasing the new CT630LS luxury sleepers. He adds that all truck models are fitted with LED driving lights to improve safety at night and minimise reflective glare.

“This is step-change improvement in night-time driving visibility and safety for our customers,” he says.

The Cat stand will include CT13 and C15 in-chassis engine displays, while engineering staff will host seminars to provide more details on the engines’ technologies.
