Isuzu to show off green credentials at truck show

Isuzu will use the National Truck and Commercial Vehicle Expo to push its green credentials as part of its latest

Isuzu will use the National Truck and Commercial Vehicle Expo to push its green credentials as part of its latest range of trucks.

Titled the ‘Breathe Easy’ campaign, Isuzu will display 24 of its low-emission vehicles which all meet Euro IV standards.

The company says the campaign allows buyers to understand Isuzu’s commitment to reducing its carbon footprint as well as particulate matter emission levels.

The Isuzu display will be decked out with 16 of its latest New Gen trucks from its 2008 line-up, while another seven vehicles will be displayed outside.

This will include 11 N Series models ranging from the NLR 200 through to the NQR 450 Winnebago Longreach Motorhome.

Nine F Series trucks including the FVR 1000 and the FRR 600 Premium will also be shown. The vehicles are equipped with second generation automated manual transmission and a state-of-the-art satellite navigation infotainment system.

The remaining trucks making up the display will be from Isuzu’s heavy duty range, including the FXZ 1500, the Giga CXY 455 and EXY 455 and the flagship Isuzu Gigamax EXY 510 B-Double.

The New Gen Isuzu trucks are rated to minimum EuroIV emissions standards, while FX and Giga models are EuroV rated.

This, the company says, makes Isuzu one of the cleanest conventional diesel-powered truck ranges available in the Australian market.

According to the manufacturer, the New Gen Isuzu range emit up to six times less particulate matter than the standard met by other comparable Japanese trucks.

Isuzu Marketing Manager Jeff Birdseye says the company is confident its new range will make a lasting impression on those attending the show.

“The all-new SiTEC Series II engines powering the range deliver notable gains in power and torque whilst comfortably meeting the latest emissions regulations,” Birdseye syas.

This is backed up by impressive safety features, Birdseye says. The vehicles come standard with a driver’s airbag, anti-skid regulators and a hill start aid.

The National Truck and Commercial Vehicle Expo is held in Sydney and will run for two days from August 7.
