A section of the Western Highway in Victoria’s west is expected to remain closed until 4pm today due to a collision involving two trucks.

The vehicles collided before crashing into power poles on the highway at Beaufort around 3.30am, Victoria Police spokeswoman Jessica Foulds says.

Both drivers were taken to hospital with minor and serious injuries.

Lanes on the highway will remain closed between Ballarat and Ararat until power lines are cleared.
