DP World appoints new leaders after CEO’s sudden exit

Following global controversy, the DP World CEO and group chairman has been replaced by two experienced logistics industry members

Global logistics company DP World has announced the appointment of a new chairman and group CEO in the wake of its existing leader’s sudden exit from the business.

His Excellency Essa Kazim has been appointed as the new chairman of the multinational company, with Yuvraj Narayan the new group CEO.

These appointments come after existing group chairman and CEO Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem resigned from the company effective immediately following his name being recently released by the US Department of Justice in files related to Jeffrey Epstein.

As the incoming chairman, Kazim serves as governor of the Dubai International Financial Centre, while Narayan has been elevated from previous roles as deputy CEO and CFO at DP World since joining the company in 2004.
