Parties agree on a 1.05-hectare facility development
Port of Brisbane has welcomed Queensland logistics firm DNV Transport as a new tenant, agreeing terms on a new 1.05-hectare site at the Port West industrial estate in Lytton.
It notes DNV Transport is a family-owned business that specialises in containerised movements throughout the south-east Queensland area and has operated within the precinct since 2011.
DNV has signed a lease term of 10 years plus two five-year options.
The 1.05 ha site will comprise a 1,500 sqm warehouse, 404 sq m covered wash bay, 220 sqm covered workshop and 300 sqm office area.
It will also include 6,360sqm of container-rated dedicated hardstand, six reefer charging points and six 40-foot fumigation pads.

Port of Brisbane CEO Roy Cummins lauds the agreement and says the port is pleased to be able to bring DNV closer to the wharves and terminals.
“DNV Transport has operated within the broader port precinct since 2011,” Cummins says.
“We are delighted to be part of its growth story and to work with them to design and deliver a modern, purpose-built facility that will deliver superior efficiency and safety outcomes and increase its operating capability.”
Construction is due to commence in late-2019 and targeting mid-2020 completion, with a total construction cost estimated at approximately $5.3 million.
“DNV Transport will join a thriving Port West industrial estate comprising six national and global port-related businesses,” the statement adds.
That includes appliance brand Fisher & Paykel, which also signed up for a 3.55 ha site lease.
