Considering selling my 1984 Mack Superliner E9/525hp, 12 speed. Not an easy decision to make, brain says "sell it", heart says "keep it stupid". So with that in mind no silly offers please.
Now, this is one unique Superliner. Originally ordered for Thiess mining PTY Limited (have build sheet) it had it's own designated 100 tonne float. I have extensive service history with this truck (a folder full) every service from 1996 up to 2010 when it was decommissioned by Thiess. Truck has only done 151,000 kms (excluding motor) yes 151k hard to believe I know, and to top it off motor was replaced/upgraded to E9/525hp in late 2004 and has only done a little over 40,000kms...
Previous owner purchased it around 2013 from memory and carried out most of the restoration (I have owned the vehicle since 2016). Suspension was professionally changed by the previous owner, the diffs are rockwells not sure of the ratio, but the previous owner had a very large earth moving business and had set the Mack up to do occasional float work and drives very well on the road.
The photos really don't do this truck justice (a head turner is an understatement) all of the hard work has been done, a few cosmetic things maybe depending on your taste or bank balance. I have a new series 1 sunvisor to go with the truck, been tossing up whether to put it on or not as I like the current look.
I am somewhat open to partial trades (as long as it blows smoke) and has some collectability value, appeal attached to it, trucks (clean b model or r model valueliner), cars, vintage/antique tractors etc. Genuine enquiries only please (CALLS ONLY) and happy to provide additional information and pics on request, and inspections are welcome. Vehicle is currently unregistered and will be sold as such, no warranty nor refunds apply and gst is "non applicable", Can store truck for as long as necessary (if paid for) if that helps. Thanks, Steve
