Dennis Eagle plans to show three of its Elite 6 at the Waste 2023 Conference in Coffs Harbour next week
The Waste 2023 Conference in Coffs Harbour next week will look at the topic of rubbish in detail, including how our waste is transported from bins to tips and in between.
For Penske Australia, the moving is waste is a key focus of their Dennis Eagle brand of trucks, custom designed to meet the needs of local governments all over the world dealing with the challenge of waste removal.
At this year’s event, the brand will showcase a dual-control side loader and two right-hand-steer rear loaders with Bucher Municipal and Superior Pak bodies.
Available in a 6×4 wheel configuration, the Elite 6 chassis is specifically designed for the refuse industry and boasts a low-entry cab with a full unencumbered panoramic view.
“As recognised by Transport for London, Dennis Eagle is the only truck manufacturer to have its complete model range awarded a five-star direct vision standard rating,” Penske Australia’s head of fleet Shannon Mair says.
“With a suite of safety features including a single step entry, walk-through flat floor, tall and wide door openings, well-positioned grab handles, and all-wheel disc brakes, Dennis Eagle ensures vehicle operators and the public are in the safest hands.”
The Elite 6 also includes advanced driver-assist systems (ADAS) such as electronic stability control, lane departure warning, and an advanced emergency braking system.
“Powered by the ever-reliable Cummins B6.7 Euro 6 engine rated at 290 hp (217 kW), the Elite 6 is the most fuel-efficient yet,” Mair says.
“At this year’s Waste, we have Richard Taylor, sales and marketing director, and Andrew Christie, export development manager, of Dennis Eagle in the UK, joining us to meet with customers and visitors who are keen to hear more on Dennis Eagle’s vision and plans for the future.”
