The vehicle brand is officially opening its latest Brisbane dealership
Daimler Truck Australia has officially opened its new Brisbane dealership, with Velocity Vehicle Group opening the premises for operations.
Daimler is referring to the new dealership as its most advanced in its entire Daimler truck and bus network.
The dealership was constructed at a cost of more than $35 million and will sell Mercedes-Benz trucks as well as Freightliner and Fuso brands.
The Velocity Vehicle Group’s new dealership is a 9500 square metre facility located on the Ipswich Motorway near a critical transport hub in Brisbane’s south-west.
The dealership features a 36-bay workshop with two 29 metre B-double pits, a shaker and roller tester, three wash bays, three express assessment bays and an external hardstand for 126 trucks.
A separate service reception and customer lounge is also included on site with a sales customer lounge.
The dealership forms the first all-new premises constructed by the Velocity Vehicle Group since it joined the Daimler Truck network in 2021.
Velocity Vehicle Group Australia executive vice president Richard Higgins says the dealership has been in the works for quite some time.
“The new facility has already provided greater opportunities to service our customers with more pays and expanded parts storage, meaning we feel fortunate with the timing as our old location was underwater earlier in the year,” Higgins says.

Daimler Trucks Brisbane will offer service across two shifts from 7am to 10pm and a full 24/7 breakdown service, as it now also features a 33 per cent larger integrated parts warehouse to ensure that more parts are on hand for customers.
