A recall notice has been issued by Daimler Truck Australia for 240 units of their Fuso Fighter and Shogun models in the 2023 year range.
Due to a manufacturing defect, the propeller shaft balance plate may not have been welded to the required specifications and could detach from the vehicle while driving.
There is an increased risk of accident if the propeller shaft balancing plate detaches from the vehicle, potentially causing injury or death to other road users and bystanders.
It is advised that owners of affected vehicles should contact their nearest authorised Daimler Truck dealership to schedule an appointment to inspect the propeller shaft balancing plate.
If the welding defect is identified, the propeller shaft will be re-balanced. This work will be carried out free of charge as part of the recall.
