Daimler Truck has revealed it sold a total of 460,409 trucks and buses across the globe in 2024, which is a marked reduction from the total of 526,053 it sold in 2023 – an overall drop of 12 per cent.
Much of that overall 65,644 unit drop came in the Trucks Asia demographic, with sales numbers dropping almost 40,000 units, or 22 per cent.
Two categories saw sales increases in the 2024 calendar year, Daimler Buses and battery-electric vehicles.
Global Daimler Bus sales increased from 26,168 units to 26,646 units – an increase of two per cent.
Battery-electric vehicle sales increased from 3443 units to 4035 units – an increase of 17 per cent.
Daimler Truck will report, in detail, on its financial and non-financial key figures of the 2024 financial year at Group and segment level and present its forecast for the current 2025 financial year.
