D’Aguilar Highway upgrade feedback open

TMR has opened up community feedback for future upgrades of Queensland’s D’Aguilar Highway

The Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) is inviting community feedback on its plans to upgrade the D’Aguilar Highway south of Nanango.

Options to widen and strengthen the highway between South Nanango and South Street in Nanango are being explored, with additional road safety treatments to reduce serious crash frequency and severity also being investigated.

The project will enhance safety, traffic flow and efficiency on the D’Aguilar Highway

These additional treatments include the installation of rumble strips, reflective pavement markers, roadside barriers, the clearing of roadside hazards, wide centre lane treatments, and intersection improvements.

“Community feedback will inform funding considerations for the future upgrade,” TMR says.

Feedback is being invited on a variety of key considerations including road safety and efficiency improvements, road design standards, value for money outcomes, social factors (including impacts on property, environment, heritage and community amenity) and the ability to address additional issues identified through community consultation.

Community input will be considered alongside technical data when identifying and assessing options for future upgrades.

Feedback can be provided here.
