NatRoad teams up with NHVR for regional trucking session
The National Road Transport Association (NatRoad) says limited places are still available to tomorrow’s regional trucking summit at Traralgon.
The event is third in the line of information sessions organised by the transport body to inform operators of the changes to the chain of responsibility (COR) guidelines.
This time, NatRoad has partnered with the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) to provide supporting material.
NHVR CEO Sal Petroccitto says the content will help road transport operators and supply chain participants understand and prepare for COR changes that are due to come into effect next year.
“Earlier this year the NHVR released guidelines for Industry Codes of Practice, and a series of Chain of Responsibility fact sheets and podcasts as part of a national effort to boost safety for all road users,” Petroccitto says.
NatRoad CEO Warren Clark says it is important that everyone in the road transport sector understands how the COR changes affect them with access to the latest information.
“NatRoad is committed to helping owner drivers and trucking businesses run their fleets as safely as possible,” Clark says.
“The introduction of Chain of Responsibility (CoR) is a significant change for the sector but one that gives everyone the opportunity to improve safety on the roads.”
The event will be held at the Century Inn in Traralgon.
Those interested in attending the event are advised to contact the NatRoad Secretariat for information on 02 6295 3000 or register online.
