QR National has signed a new haulage agreement with Anglo American Metallurgical Coal to haul coal from the Capcoal Mining Complex to the Port of Gladstone.

QR National Executive Vice President and CEO Curtis Davies says QR started railing this month under a new contract that will generate more than $120 million in revenue.

The contract is due to run until late 2014.

“The take or pay with Anglo American will see our trains move up to 2.7 million tonnes a year of coal from Anglo American’s Capcoal Mining complex to the port of Gladstone,” Davies says.
