CMV Truck & Bus re-opens Dandenong facility

After over 18 months of construction, CMV Truck & Bus has re-opened its state-of-the art upgraded Dandenong facility

CMV Truck and Bus has unveiled its redeveloped Dandenong facility, with the addition of a 20,000 sqm truck centre at the rear of the facility now enabling it to support 55 truck bays and ample space for trailers.

The dealership has served Melbourne’s outer-eastern regions since 2006 and specialises in the sales of Mack and UD trucks, and parts and servicing of Mack, Volvo and UD trucks.

The redevelopment of the dealership took over 18 months of construction and includes the upgrade and expansion of the parts warehouse, the addition of a separate dangerous goods workshop and the investment in four 25-tonne knuckle lifts.

“This transformation reiterates CMV Truck & Bus’ dedication to investing in its facilities and delivering industry-leading solutions to our growing customer base,” CMV Truck & Bus General Manager Eastern Victoria Anthony Russell says.

Almost 200 people were in attendance to celebrate the facility’s re-opening, including Volvo Group Australia President and CEO Martin Merrick.

The event took place underneath the dealership’s new canopy with live music, food and drinks, and a wide range of trucks on display.

Merrick, who officially opened the dealership with CMV Group Executive Director Paul Crawford, says customers will be the main benefactors of both the improved facility, and Volvo Group’s continuing partnership with CMV Group.

“This is a dealership of the future, and it means that you – the customer – will benefit from improved efficiencies and customer experience, plus safety for all involved,” Merrick says.

“I would like to extend my gratitude to the CMV Group for their unwavering partnership and dedication over the past 56 years.

“Together, we have achieved remarkable milestones.”

CMV Group employs almost 2000 staff and operates predominantly in Victoria and South Australia. It is a fourth-generation family business and operates light automotive and heavy vehicle dealerships, including farming interests.
