CMV Truck & Bus is growing yet again as it becomes an exclusive Volvo Penta products franchise for Victorian customers

CMV Truck & Bus is set to grow after announcing its latest business venture, Industrial Power Systems, which has allowed it to become the exclusive Volvo Penta Industrial Products Franchise for Victorian customers.

This strategic expansion will allow CMV Truck & Bus to solidify its position as an industry leader when it comes to supporting the transition to renewable energy sources.

Industrial Power Systems offers a wide range of Volvo Penta industrial products, excluding commercial and leisure marine. The product range includes high-performance industrial and power generation engines, electric power solutions and battery energy storage systems (BESS), all supported by aftersales support from the Industrial Power Systems team of Volvo Penta experts.

“At Industrial Power Systems we are proud to offer original equipment manufacturers and operators state-of-the-art Volvo Penta engines and technology, all backed by 100 years of engineering experience,” Industrial Power Systems sales manager Mick McGee says.

“We are meticulous about our products operating at peak performance throughout their lifecycle, delivering exceptional power, fuel efficiency and durability, while meeting the highest expectations in industrial applications.

“Furthermore, we are committed to providing first-class service around the clock.”

The Industrial Power Systems business is supported with an extensive distribution network throughout Victoria which utilises CMV Truck & Bus metropolitan and regional locations as well as the existing Volvo Penta Industrial Dealer network. Industrial Power Systems currently operates from the CMV Truck & Bus dealership, located in Derrimut.

“The Volvo Penta Franchise is in safe hands with the experienced Industrial Power Systems team,” Volvo Penta director – Industrial Business Tim Hutchison says.

“We are thrilled to partner with CMV Truck & Bus, a trusted partner of our parent company Volvo Group Australia for more than 50 years.”

CMV Truck & Bus says it is committed to helping customers on their transformation journey to renewable energy, perfectly aligning with Volvo Group Australia’s objective of working towards a net-zero future.

“CMV Truck & Bus is passionate about supporting the communities in which we operate, and responding to both the needs of our customers and the environment,” CMV Truck & Bus general manager Miles Crawford says.

“Commencing the Industrial Power Systems business as the Volvo Penta Industrial Products Franchise is another way that we are delivering our customers with broader and future-focused solutions.

“Across all of our businesses, we are continuously working towards sustainable solutions as government changes evolve and encourage lower emission initiatives.”

Industrial Power Systems strives to deliver precision, from the initial start-up to final systems checks and offers 24/7 breakdown assistance for Volvo Penta engines and products. Volvo Penta guarantees equipment is fully covered under factory warranty for the standard two-year/3,000 hour warranty period, providing operators with peace of mind and minimised downtime.

Industrial Power Systems and CMV Truck & Bus are divisions of the wider CMV Group, which this year celebrates 90 years in business.

Commencing operations in 1934, the CMV Group, now a fourth generation family business, operates substantial light automotive and heavy vehicle dealerships, predominately in Victoria and South Australia and also has farming interests.
