Chevin Fleet Solutions helps UK fleets benchmark their own performance against that of their peers

NSW-based Chevin Fleet Solutions is giving a helping hand to commercial fleets in the UK by enabling them to benchmark their own performance against that of their peers.
The company’s FleetWave software – the world’s first web-based fleet management system – is behind the UK’s latest online real-time benchmarking systems, which are enabling operators to anonymously compare performance with like-for-like fleets.
FleetWave integrates data from across departments, giving fleet managers complete visibility of every aspect of fleet operations, so that they have greater control over efficiency and safety.
Working with AECOM, Chevin has tailored versions of FleetWave to be used as benchmarking services offered by the Department of Transport and Transport for London.
The two new systems are free to use for UK operators, and allow organisations to anonymously compare the performance of their commercial fleets to those of other similar organisations – cross-referenced by geographical area, fleet size or sector.
The benchmarking tools cover 18 key performance indicators, including fuel consumption, maintenance cycles, frequency of parking fines, safety records and a host of other associated costs.
Operators can then produce detailed reports which can be used to identify areas for investigation and strategically target overall efficiency increases.
Chevin General Manager Matt Frost says organisations are looking to improve efficiency to stay ahead of competitors.
