CEVA Logistics unveils sustainable warehouse in Western Sydney

CEVA Logistics has continued spanning its reach across Sydney’s western suburbs with its latest facility

Global logistics provider CEVA Logistics has unveiled its new 34,000-square-metre facility in Sydney’s western suburb of Kemps Creek.

The new CEVA site has been built near the Western Sydney Airport and has access to key Sydney arterials, including the M4 and M7 motorways.

CEVA says the warehouse will support Australia’s extensive business growth in the technology and healthcare sectors, particularly in New South Wales.

“With the unveiling of this warehouse, CEVA is demonstrating our dedication to investing locally and expanding our footprint of sustainable logistics in Australia,” CEVA Logistics Australia and New Zealand head of contract logistics Michael Harich says.

“With our existing sites in Orchard Hills, Eastern Creek and two other upcoming facilities in Erskine Park, we are forming a logistics cluster in Western Sydney to better serve the region.

“We remain committed to acting for the planet and finding better ways to deliver long-term business benefits for our customers.

“Through using resources sustainably and improving stakeholder relationships, we can reduce the environmental impact of logistics and supply chain operations.”

CEVA says the warehouse has been built to specifications that prioritise sustainability and technology in its operations.

Features of the site include temperature control technologies, state-of-the-art racking and traffic management for seamless flows.

An additional 1,510 solar panels have also been installed along with translucent roof sheeting, LED lighting, electric vehicle charging points and rainwater harvesting.
