CEVA Logistics has opened a new warehouse at Berrinba, 30 minutes south of Brisbane.
The 56,000 square-metre multi-user facility features continuous loading docks and dock levellers and is CEVA’s largest site to date.
The company says the facility, which opened yesterday, includes state-of-the-art racking with a layout configured for maximum efficiency, integrated IT and warehouse management systems and traffic management.
CEVA Executive Vice President for Australia and New Zealand Casey Fisher says the facility will accommodate growth that the company has seen over the past year.
“Our team is very excited about the opening of this multi-user facility, which will deliver a range of tangible benefits to our customers’ supply chains through economies of scale, shared overheads, resources, equipment and best practice processes,” Fisher says.
“We have experienced good levels of growth over the past 12 months and the new facility marks an important step forward in addressing new opportunities in the Queensland and Australian marketplaces.”
The opening boosts CEVA’s footprint in Australia and New Zealand to 65 facilities. CEVA employs over 2,000 people across the two countries.
The facility includes translucent roof sheeting for natural light, T5 warehouse lighting, solar hot water systems with water fittings, drought resistance landscaping, air conditioning and rainwater harvesting.
