The Platinum Medal is only presented to the top one per cent of companies.
Silver Medal (top 15 per cent) and Bronze Medal (top 35 per cent) awards are also given, while ‘Committed’ and ‘Fast Mover’ badges are also awarded.
CEVA’s score of 76/100 was the result of an evaluation across the categories of environment, labour and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. Its overall score was 12 points higher than its 2023 assessment.
It scored 90/100 in the environment category.
CEVA says its improved performance against EcoVadis’ grading system reflects the improvement of its CSR Program which aligns with its parent company, the CMA CGM Group.
The program focuses on the three pillar commitments of ‘acting for planet’, ‘acting for people’ and ‘acting for fair trade’ and outline the company’s commitment to carbon reduction and meeting net zero by 2050.
CEVA’s carbon footprint reduced to six million tonnes in 2023, which was a 200,000-tonne reduction from 2022.
