National transport company Centurion has announced it has secured a five-year contract with Australia Post to manage freight delivery across Western Australia.
Centurion will manage the freight operations for the carrier across three main regions in regional WA – Central, Goldfields and the North West.
Under the agreement, Centurion will transport parcels and mailbags between Perth and regional post offices in towns including Kalgoorlie, Karratha, Geraldton, Port Hedland, Broome and Kununurra.
Servicing regional Western Australia for more than 50 years, Centurion says it has the infrastructure and transport capability in place to align with the needs of the contract.
“This agreement reflects Centurion’s commitment to supporting essential freight movements across regional Western Australia. It highlights the strength of our network and our capability to service some of the most remote communities in the country,” Centurion EGM of business development Damain Bishop says.
By consolidating mail and parcel deliveries into Centurion’s existing transport runs, the partnership delivers an efficient and consistent service for local communities.
“Our roots are in regional WA. We’ve built our network over five decades to deliver safely, reliably, and regularly to even the most remote parts of the state,” Centurion CEO Justin Cardaci says.
“Working with Australia Post is a great fit because it allows us to continue doing what we do best—serving regional communities.”
Under the agreement, Centurion is providing direct deliveries to regional post offices and handling returns to Perth from regional towns.
Since taking on the contract in mid-March 2025, Centurion has shown strong delivery performance, receiving positive feedback from both operational and retail teams.
“Centurion’s experience in regional transport in WA was a significant advantage when we worked through the selection process,” Australia Post executive general manager of network operations Rod Barnes says.
“Their teams understand the demands of remote delivery and have already demonstrated they can deliver with care and consistency, providing our customers and communities with a reliable service.”
