Predecessor Kozek to focus on vehicle electrification and future disruptive technologies
Navistar has promoted one of its senior executives, Michael Cancelliere, to the role of president of the Truck and Parts business.
Cancelliere, who was working as the senior vice president of Navistar’s Global Parts and Customer Service unit, will assume the new role starting July 1.
He replaces William Kozek, who will take on a “planning role focused on emerging industry opportunities” including vehicle electrification and potential disruptive technologies.
Navistar chairman and CEO Troy Clarke says the leadership change reflects the company’s focus on sustainable profitability through expansion across targeted markets.
“These leadership and structural changes will bring even greater focus to several critical revenue areas of our business,” Clarke says.
“They represent another important step on our journey toward sustainable profitability through growth and expansion in our core and select global markets.”
In his new role, Cancelliere will oversee all aspects of the company’s truck and parts business.
“I am excited about this new opportunity and look forward to growing our share and helping our customers and dealers win by building on our foundation of great new products and industry-leading uptime,” Cancelliere says.
Clarke acknowledges Kozek’s efforts as the outgoing president of the Truck and Parts business, where he led the team for four years.
“Bill [Kozek] stepped in during a challenging time for our company four years ago, and did a great job steadily rebuilding the International Truck brand, restoring confidence and improving consideration with customers,” Clarke says.
“I am confident these changes will build on our recent momentum in the market place, while allowing us to plan for the future changes rapidly coming to our industry.”
