Boral Logistics regional manager brings linehaul and financial experience and an interest in road funding
May 3, 2013
Boral Logistics regional manager Matt Butler is the newest member of the Australian Trucking Association (ATA) board.
His transport and financial management experience will be an asset to the team, ATA Chairman David Simon says.
“In his role at Boral, Matt operates a substantial fleet of tippers and pneumatic powder tankers and oversees the Boral Group’s linehaul freight activities,” Simon says.
“Boral’s equipment, technology and safety management systems are up there with the best in the business.
“Before he joined Boral, Matt worked in the investment management sector.
“His expertise in this area will enable him to make a strong contribution to the board’s decisions about financial issues.”
Butler says he hopes to put his skills at task, ensuring the ATA board continues promoting road safety and compliance.
“I am also particularly interested in making sure the ATA can keep working to ensure a fair and equitable outcome for all operators under any future road funding model,” Butler says.
