Brisbane to host international forum ahead of BTS23

HVTT brings together best in heavy vehicle knowledge and education

Brisbane has been named host city for the 2023 Heavy Vehicle Transport and Technology (HVTT) international conference, to be held directly before the 2023 Brisbane Truck Show (BTS).

The international forum will come to Brisbane for HVTT-17 on the eve of the 2023 BTS.

Brisbane was announced as the venue for HVTT-17 at the closing ceremony of this year’s event held in Qingdao, China with delegates tuning in from around the world.

HVIA chief executive Todd Hacking said the conference brings together engineers, road managers, and industry.

“We are excited to be announced as hosts of HVTT-17 in May of 2023,” Hacking said.

“The symposium brings together the very best in knowledge and education.

“It is about sharing insights and ideas from world leading research and development, looking at best practice policy and connecting directly with industry at one of the world’s great road transport events.

“The conference will be held on the eve of the Brisbane Truck Show, creating a great opportunity for delegates to enjoy everything both events have to offer.

“For HVTT-17 we have selected the theme of Ecosystem Evolution.

“We believe it harnesses the challenges and opportunities that we all face as the industry progresses the transformation to zero emissions vehicles. That takes in vehicles, systems, energy and infrastructure.”

HVTT-17 will take place from Monday-Wednesday, May 15-17, 2023, at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre with the Brisbane Truck Show opening on May 18 and running through the weekend.
