Toll entity will take over general freight services for BHP at its Olympic Dam mine
BHP Billiton has confirmed a switch to Toll for its general freight services at Roxby Downs.
Covering the Olympic Dam site, the contract will apply from next week, with Toll Mining Services replacing Linfox as the company’s go-to carrier.
BHP says it will maintain its central metropolitan staging depot in Port Adelaide, although its opening hours may change.
It notes that existing contracts with other carriers will not be affected.
“Toll Mining Services SA (previously ODT Australis) will commence delivery of general freight at Olympic Dam from November 1, replacing previous service provider Linfox,” the company’s only official statement reads.
