Australian producer of sustainable multi-purpose lubricants and protectants, Lanotec, has extended its offering, with a suite of products for professional automotive workshops and home mechanics.
Lanolin is an organic substance produced by sheep to shield the coating on their fleece, which carries amazing protective properties into a wide range of real-world uses.
Local company Lanotec, which will reach its 25th anniversary this year, produces a range of sustainable lubricants and cleaners from this substance. The company says its latest product range is the culmination of long-term development focused on premium quality, all-natural, sustainable lanolin-based products, which are non-toxic and ideal for use in environmentally sensitive locations.
Lanotec says its new general purpose and heavy-duty product offerings lubricate and protect while cleaning. They also rejuvenate and extend the life of metal, timber, plastic, rubber, and fibreglass finishes.
Lanotec says a popular line for light vehicles and plant equipment is Lanotec Steel-Seal, which not only provides high-performance corrosion protection for underbodies, it also prevents further rust from developing on already corroded areas.
It is particularly useful in areas where vehicles encounter salt water, fertiliser, at chemical storage facilities, and in other harsh environments.
The products are available in 300g aerosol, 600ml spray packs, and 5-litre bulk pack sizes.
The new aerosol line features a handy combo nozzle for use in any circumstance, with its inert CO2 propellent non-hazardous and non-flammable, ensuring maximum delivery of active ingredients.
Lanotec also produces Lanotec Citra-Force, an organic industrial-strength cleaner and natural degreaser, which safely cleans a wide range of finishes, including aluminium, stainless steel and anodised surfaces without streaking.
The product removes hard-to-clean material, including oil, grease, carbon, adhesives, acrylic paint, shipping waxes, blackjack, uncured silicone, sealants, lanolin and rubberised glue, amongst many uses.
“Over the years, Lanotec’s various products have found favour throughout the automotive trades because they are non-toxic, biodegradable, and safe to use around a wide range of components,” Robert Doncon, General Manager, Lanotec Australia says.
“More and more, users understand the advantages of moving away from petrochemical options to environmentally friendly solutions, while equally important is the ability to support Australian-made products,” Doncon says.
The liquid lanolin products are available in various formulations for different uses, with specialist products including Wire Rope Lube, Release Agent for use around concrete formwork, plus Timber Seal, for use on exposed timber surfaces, and spray bottles.
Backing up the green credentials of the Lanotec offering, multiple products have received Global Green TagTM’s prestigious certification, NSF certification, are endorsed for use in industries operating a HACCP-based food safety program, as well as being approved by AQIS for use in export registered meat establishments.
Doncon says Lanotec develop the right products for the right applications.
“We have worked extensively with professionals in the automotive field to create a full suite of products that lead the market in terms of long-term protection and are adaptable to a massive array of applications.
“Our doubling down of our commitment to the automotive space comes at an exciting time for Lanotec, as we celebrate 25 years of operation with additional product lines, new packaging options and fresh branding.
“Not only is Lanotec’s range of lubricants, penetrants, corrosion inhibitors and degreasers the safest and most versatile available in the marketplace, but they are also specifically designed to outlast and outperform the competition,” Doncon says.
