Global temperature-sensitive life science transport company Cold Chain Technologies (CCT) has announced it has acquired Global Cold Chain Solutions (GCCS) in a bid to improve its footprint in Australia and the Asia Pacific region.
GCCS designs and manufactures high-performance thermal assurance solutions for a range of life science applications and maintains manufacturing sites across Australia and India.
It is CCT’s fifth acquisition since partnering with Aurora Capital Partners in 2019.
“GCCS has established itself as a regional market leader over the last two decades by leveraging its differentiated technologies and a broad-ranging portfolio of products and services,” CCT CEO Ranjeet Banerjee says.
“GCCS’ rapid expansion in India and other global markets is a further testament to the quality of its products, operations, and customer service.
“We are thrilled to partner with Andrew (GCCS Co-founder and CEO Andrew Myers) and the entire GCCS team to further expand CCT’s footprint in Asia Pacific, which continues to see rapid investment across all life sciences verticals.”
Myers says GCCS’ admiration of CCT makes them the perfect partner to continue the company’s growth journey.
“We are excited to leverage CCT’s diversified portfolio, thermal engineering expertise, and proprietary digital track-and-trace software to accelerate our worldwide growth,” he says.
“We have long admired CCT as a leader in our industry and believe it is the ideal partner to support GCCS’ next chapter of growth.
“We look forward to working with Ranjeet and his team to better serve our customers, our employees and the entire life sciences community.”
GCCS operates warehouses and offices in Australia, India, Germany and Malaysia and was awarded the 2022 Enterprise Award for Best Temperature-Controlled Supply Chain Solutions and the Distinction Award for Contributions to Pandemic Relief.
Cold Chain Technologies holds its global headquarters in Franklin, Massachusetts and operates a global network including sites in the Netherlands, Singapore, Panama, Uruguay, Brazil and across the United States.
