Australian rail freight company Aurizon has officially appointed Keith Neate as Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
Neate has been Aurizon’s acting CFO since November 2012.
He joined Aurizon in August 2011 to head finance for
the company’s
coal business.
Before joining Aurizon Neate was the CFO at Virgin Blue for eight years.
Before working at Virgin Blue he spent fifteen years at KPMG working in senior roles in Australia and the United Kingdom.
Aurizon CEO Lance Hockridge says Neate was selected to be CFO after an extensive national and international recruitment process.
“Keith has outstanding credentials and brings a wealth of knowledge and global experience to this role,” Hockridge says.
Hockridge says Neate helped drive recent negotiations
for
long-term customer contracts
in company’s coal business.
“He is well positioned to lead the company’s finance function in Aurizon’s next phase of transformation and growth,” he says.
