Trucking industry peak body see both as capable of handling greater ministerial burdens

The Australian Trucking Association (ATA) has given the thumbs up to yesterday’s ministerial reshuffle as it affects road transport.
The association gave no indication that it thought greater responsibilities would affect the performances of Anthony Albanese and Catherine King.
The pair brought “a proven record of achievement” to their expanded roles ATA CEO Stuart St Clair says.
“As Australia’s Infrastructure and Transport Minister, Anthony Albanese led a massive increase in road funding, substantial regulatory reform and much needed improvements to Australia’s infrastructure planning,” St Clair says.
“And as the Parliamentary Secretary for Infrastructure and Transport, Catherine King led the development of Australia’s new National Road Safety Strategy – a significant achievement backed by sensible consultation with industry.
“The ATA looks forward to continuing to work with Anthony Albanese and Catherine King into the future.”
