Leading global logistics and transportation solutions provider Aramex has announced the resignation of Group CEO Othman Al-Jeda, citing personal reasons.
Working at Aramex for over 31 years, Al-Jeda was praised for his dedicated service and acknowledged for his instrumental role in the company.
“His leadership, dedication, and unwavering belief in the potential of this company have been instrumental in shaping Aramex into the global logistics player it is today,” chairman of the board Captain Mohamed Juma Alshamsi says.
Current CFO Nicolas Sibuet will be stepping up the plate at Al-Jeda’s departure, taking over as acting Group CEO.
Sibuet joined Aramex as CFO in January 2022, bringing over 30 years of experience across the logistics, shipping, oil, gas, and aviation industries.
Reflecting on his tenure, Al-Jeda says he is leaving the role in more than capable hands.
“I am grateful to have been a part of this extraordinary company for the past 31 years… I have full confidence in Aramex’s future and the leadership of Nicolas Sibuet,” Al-Jeda says.
