Victoria Police is appealing for the truck driver who struck a woman in Somerville to come forward.
The 19-year-old was hit by the small truck north on Frankston-Flinders Road about 8.45pm yesterday. She died at the scene.
The driver failed to stop upon the accident and continued travelling north along the road.
Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for witnesses and would like to speak to the driver as part of their investigation.
The truck has been described as a light coloured, older model.
