Amazon Australia searching for 600 seasonal workers

Amazon Australia is hiring 600 new seasonal employees to help deal with the added demand of the Christmas and peak shopping periods

Amazon Australia is hiring 600 seasonal jobs across its fulfilment centres and logistics sites to support expected increased demand across the Christmas period and peak shopping periods including Prime Day and Black Friday.

Roles are available in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Brisbane, Adelaide, Newcastle, Gold Coast, Gosford and Geelong, with comprehensive on-the-job training promised by the company.

There will also be increased opportunity to deliver packages with Amazon Flex.

HR Director of Operations at Amazon Australia Jacqui Marker says the seasonal jobs on offer will suit a range of people at different stages of their careers.

“These seasonal roles can be a stepping stone towards a long-term career at Amazon with comprehensive job training provided,” Marker says.

“These seasonal jobs are ideal for retirees wanting to stay engaged, students on breaks or those looking to re-enter the workforce and earn extra income over the holidays.”

Over 550 permanent roles have been created across Amazon’s Australian operational network so far this year.
