The Victoria International Container Terminal (VICT) recently hosted a delegation from a long standing Australian Logistics Council (ALC) diversity program.
The port terminal operator hosted the Wayfinder: Supply Chain Careers for Women group, offering them a behind-the-scenes look at VICT’s operations to gain first-hand insight into terminal activities.
Female executives from across the business also shared their career experiences, discussed their roles and highlighted opportunities available with VICT and the wider industry.
An initiative of the ALC, Wayfinder promotes gender diversity and guides women into careers in the supply chain industry through industry-led events and site visits hosted by member organisations.
“Our support to the Wayfinder initiative demonstrates VICT’s strong belief in workforce diversity,” VICT CEO Bruno Porchietto says.
“This commitment is reflected in the high percentage of women working at every level across all departments, particularly in key management roles.”
