Air freighter to grow online with new CEO

Air Menzies International (AMI) has appointed a new CEO to grow online activity

September 18, 2012

Air freight wholesaler Air Menzies International (AMI) has appointed a new CEO to grow online activity.

The global trade-only wholesaler, which has offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, and Perth, today confirmed Stephen Koller has accepted the CEO position.

According to an AMI statement, Koller’s management background and IT expertise are expected to help AMI become a stronger force in online airfreight quoting and booking – a process that began
at AMI in 2000.

Koller
began managing AMI in late 2010 while continuing his position as Executive Vice President (EVP) IT for parent Menzies Aviation.

He has now relinquished his IT responsibilities, following the appointment of Martin Gallington as Senior Vice President (SVP) IT.

In addition to his post as CEO of AMI, Koller will continue as one of the four Executive Directors
at Menzies Aviation.

Menzies Aviation President and Managing Director Craig Smyth says Koller is a Mathematics and Business Administration graduate with an MBA in Information Systems.

“I have ambitious growth plans for AMI over the next five years, and Stephen is just the man to deliver – now on a full-time basis,” he says.
