ACM Parts officially opens new Queensland DC

ACM Parts is always enjoying the benefits and opportunities of the larger distribution centre

Vehicle mechanical and collision specialists ACM Parts has announced that its new Queensland distribution centre is officially open for business.

In December 2022, ACM Parts announced the lease of the new flagship DC located in Hemmant, Queensland.

In March this year, the warehouse commenced racking installation and stock relocation, with the new Hemmant site having more than 19,000m2 of warehouse capacity, an increase of 13,400m2 from the previous Arundel facility.

Now, the new centre is officially open, boasting more than 15 direct access covered loading bays and a significant hardstand area.

The move to the larger facility will allow ACM Parts’ Reclaimed, Genuine and Aftermarket ranges to expand alongside workshop consumables.

“This new centre will allow us to expand ACM Parts’ inventory holdings and build a stronger position within the mechanical and collision supply market right across Queensland and northern NSW,” executive general manager Adam O’Sullivan says.

“The new location has allowed us to increase our service officer to customers for up to three runs daily in the Brisbane metro area and we’ve also added a daily Sunshine Coast run. Both improvements weren’t feasible out of the old Arundel warehouse.”

Located close to the port of Brisbane and the Gateway motorway, the new facility opens growth opportunities as it allows ACM Parts to deliver to more customers more frequently.

“The new facility is more modern than our pre-existing facility in Queensland, and I am excited about the opportunity for our Team members to build their experience in the new location,” O’Sullivan says.

“It also provides an opportunity for advancement for our current Team members as we grow our staffing levels.”

On October 24, ACM Parts welcomed suppliers, customers, and industry leaders to view the 19,000m2 warehouse during the official opening night.

Guests were able to tour the facility and learn more about the Genuine, Reclaimed and Aftermarket ranges on offer.

“The opening night was an opportunity for our valued customer, supplier and key industry partners to get to know ACM parts a little better and see how far ACM has come in its journey to be Australia’s leading supplier of Genuine, Aftermarket, and Reclaimed automotive parts and workshop consumables at our new Hemmant site,” O’Sullivan says.
