A two-truck accident on Melbourne's Western Ring road is causing delays for morning commuters

An accident involving two trucks on Melbourne’s Western Ring Road is causing traffic chaos this morning.

Police and VicRoads emergency response crews are at the scene near Strathmore attending an oil spill. The other vehicle involved in the accident is a tow-truck carrying a luxury car.

Altona-bound traffic is being diverted to Sydney Road, with diversions expected to remain in place later this morning.
