It was one antidote to public doubts about the industry’s attention to the safety of cars around trucks on display, another being increasing visibility of equipment.
At the conference sidelines, ATA engineering consultant Bob Woodward tells ATN the Industry Technical Council is working on a technical advisory procedure (TAP) on side under-run protection (SUP) systems and a rear under-run protection system. ...

With the West Australian market gaining in strength, trailer and body builder MaxiTRANS has added a regional sales manager for the state and appointed a service and parts dealer to look after customer needs.
Mike Dawson is the new WA regional sales manager representing MaxiTRANS, while Park Motor Body Builders will take on the role of supplying spare parts and meeting service requirements for operators.
Dawson has a long history in the transport industry, including over 25 years experience in heavy commercial vehicle, capital equipment and specialist equipment sales.
Park Motor Body Builders is located in new premises that includes road train access, service and repairs, grit blasting and painting for all trailer types.
