Scania will reveal its new low entry cab version of the P280 rigid at the Melbourne Truck Show this week.
The new cab is popular with vocational customers in Europe, where kerbside stops are a routine part of the operation.
Scania Australia Managing Director Roger McCarthy says the new cab is intended for similar applications where drivers are frequently entering and exiting the truck to make the task easier.
The new low entry cab will be joined on the stand by the just released G-Series and R- Series Euro 5 truck range, including the latest version of the range-topping 16-litre V8 and the premium specification Highline cab.
