A new device to protect trucking operators from fuel siphoning has been launched, stopping unauthorised access to fuel tanks.
Petromech anti-siphon tool is made from a single block of aluminium and uses a basket with a series of drain holes to allow 120 litres of fuel to be filled per minute but restricting tank access.
Petromech says the device can be installed in just a few minutes and can be transferred between tanks, meaning operators can still use it if a truck is sold or replaced.
The installation process requires no gluing or drilling so it will not damage the tank neck.
The company says the device also has no moving parts and requires no maintenance during its life.
