Truck manufacturer Isuzu has a message for the transport industry as supply chain pressures increase
Isuzu Trucks Australia has called for the nation’s transport industry to have “a little patience” when it comes to returning the supply chain to its usual efficiency.
Isuzu says it has been forced to wait for its products, yet has called for everyone to wait for the supply chain to return to normalcy once external pressures release.
“When it comes to trucks, there’s not one brand in the market that has not been able to escape being snagged in the web of global supply chain disruptions,” Isuzu says.
“In Australia, most are continuing to collaborate closely with parent companies overseas and local supply chain partners, especially body builders, to implement a range of updates to support prioritisation, production and delivery of customer vehicles.”

Isuzu says it will continue working with companies to sift through these supply chain issues, despite the extraordinary rise in prices and wait times seen throughout Australia.
The manufacturer says analysts initially expected supply chain disruptions to ease this year, but external conflicts mean it won’t be fixed until mid-2023.
With the World Economic Forum noting impacts from these issues spreading to car and truck production as well as container shipping rates, Isuzu wants the industry to remain calm and encourages customers to be patient until the supply chain can return to normal.
