A complete package makes the latest Hino models safer than ever
Hino Australia has announced that it’s making its Hino SmartSafe active safety package standard across its entire range of 700 Series trucks for customers.
Hino says the move is already paying dividends and providing for a superior product.
“We have already received excellent feedback on the 4×2, 6×2 and 6×4 700 Series models since their launch in August 2021,” Hino Australia product strategy department manager Daniel Petrovski says.
“That positive customer response supports the inclusion of Hino SmartSafe as standard equipment on all new orders for the 700 Series FY 8×4 models.
“As promised, every Hino 700 Series model offered to the Australian market will now include the full Hino SmartSafe safety package as standard equipment.”
Hino says the inclusion of SmartSafe makes its latest line of trucks even more durable and reliable for customers.
Hino SmartSafe is a safety package featuring driver assist technologies that can take an active focus on protecting the lives of drivers, passengers and other road users.
The package includes a pre-collision system with autonomous emergency braking, pedestrian detection, lane departure warning, vehicle stability control and a reverse camera along with other standard features.
But the SmartSafe package also has driver monitor to make the 700 Series the safest Hino truck yet.

The driver monitor system monitors the driver’s attention towards the road using driving posture, face orientation and eyelid status via a camera integrated into the A-pillar.
Along with being incredibly safe, the Hino 700 Series also meets Euro 6 exhaust emission standards to make the model the cleanest and safest Hino series yet.
“The entire range of the all-new 700 Series is now safer, cleaner and connected,” Petrovski says.
“It’s the truck of the future, here today.”
