Volkswagen announces communications appointments

The vehicle group has shuffled its communications leadership positions

The Volkswagen Group has announced new appointments to key communications positions across Australasia.

Following recent changes to the Volkswagen Group’s management board, Volkswagen China, Skoda and component brands are changing their communications leadership structure.

Robin Aschhoff will take charge of the general secretariat at Volkswagen Group China and will assume responsibility for international and CEO communications.

The new head of communications at Volkswagen passenger cars is Jens Katemann, who will also oversee communications at the volume band group at Volkswagen.

Ariane Kilian will succeed Jens Katemann as the head of communications at Skoda auto, while Volkswagen is yet to release a new appointment for the head of communications at the group technology division.

Aschhoff will take charge of the general secretariat from August 1 this year, while Jens Katemann will assume the role as head of communications at Volkswagen passenger cars effective July 1.

These role changes come as Volkswagen shifts around its management board and communications structure.
