Trailer firm’s transfer to new Smeaton Grange premises on target
It said in February the move to a new Smeaton Grange space would be happening in May and there seems little risk of Sloanebuilt Trailers (SBT) delay as the plan unfolds.
The trailer manufacturer reports its sales, engineering and administrations team are in situ at the new Dunn Road centre.
The Hartley Road premises, however, continues to house its spare parts department.

“We’re still encouraging customers to place orders online or over the phone to continue our commitment to enforce the Australian government’s social distancing restrictions and reduce the number of people coming in and out of the parts store for the health and safety of our staff, suppliers and customers,” the company says.
Its manufacturing departments will undertake a staged moved “in the next few weeks while we transition all the manufacturing equipment and stock over the coming months before all moving into the new facilities closer to the middle of the year”.
