Affected vehicles may experience fuel seepage through an injector crack
Fiat Chrysler Automobiles Australia (FCA) has issued a recall notice for 2014 Fiat Ducato vans with a 2.3 MultiJet engine.
According to the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (ACCC), the issue surrounds a potential diesel leakage problem.
“There is a potential that the end connector of the diesel re-circulation pipe on the injectors may be cracked resulting in diesel seepage,” the ACCC says.
“If diesel leaks from the vehicle this poses a potential fire hazard.”
FCA Australia says it will notify affected vehicle owners nationally, and ask them to take their vehicles to a Fiat Professional dealership.
It is the second recall notice for the Ducato in less than six months.
