Brown and Hurley Group opens new dealership

Truck dealer has opened a new Kenworth and DAF location in Queensland

The Brown and Hurley Group has launched a new Caboolture dealership in Queensland.

The company’s tenth location sits on a 2.7-hectare greenfield site at 16 Motorway Drive, and matches the design of the Yatala, Townsville and Toowoomba dealerships.

“We’ve always had a strategy to have a position on the three main roads running into Brisbane – from the Gold Coast, from the west and from the north,” Brown and Hurley joint managing director Rob Brown says.

“It took us a while to find a suitable site with highway access and the right attributes, but we are very happy with this location as our base to service this important region.”

Featuring new and pre-owned truck sales, new and used trailers, finance, parts, and service support, the new dealership has 32 drive-through service bays; four full length service pits, one equipped with a brake tester/shaker; and lounge facilities.

“Customers are now expecting more from their suppliers because of the technology involved in the industry,” Brown says, “whether it be electronic engine management or emissions control systems, and Brown and Hurley has invested in the facilities, staffing and technical training to satisfy those requirements.”

“I am still excited by these sorts of development projects – it is a great thing – Caboolture is our biggest dealership and we have built it, and invested appropriately, for what we think the industry will look like five and ten years down the track.”

The new location, to be headed by dealer principal Darryl Evans, will offer a 24 hour, seven day a week breakdown service.

For parts, the new dealership offers a 1500 square-metre store.
