Transtech updates fatigue management platform with Sentinel 4

New offline capabilities and user interface headline application refresh

Transport technology provider Transtech has updated its fatigue management platform for drivers and transport operators with Sentinel 4.

The new application can work offline, the company says, and thanks to its revamped look, it’s easier to access fatigue information, set-up alerts and view detailed reports.

Aiming to aid both drivers and office staff in complying with evolving fatigue management laws between states, the Electronic Work Diary allows drivers to input work hours and receive real-time audio and visual alerts on when and how often they should be taking breaks.

Connecting with office staff over cellular networks, the solution provides operators with a driver’s current and past history and implements state-to-state rules based on the vehicle’s location.

A part of Transtech’s NextGen service, transport operators can organise driver rosters based off real-time fatigue information, schedule detailed reports, check log books to audit paper work diaries, set up their own alerts across their fleet and examine data should a breach occur.

Working in conjunction with its iFace tablet, Transtech says the refreshed Sentinel 4 will also provide the same information to drivers who roam outside internet areas, ensuring they remain compliant to government regulations.

The seven-inch iFace tablet connects drivers to their office staff via the NextGen service, which allows operators to pick and choose applicable applications such as fatigue management, mass, speed and vehicle management, engine management, on-board real-time load monitoring, vehicle routing and scheduling and tracking.
